The staff to intensify to mark Olympic challenge - Peterborough Evening Telegraph

Between now and June 15, personnel of all sectors of the company intensified a challenge to strengthen team spirit and to enter in a festive atmosphere to the approach of 2012 in London.


In the coming weeks, the 49 strong team will be to walk the equivalent distance in miles of the place for the Olympic Games 2008 - Beijing - London.


It is a huge, 5,000 - more miles - steps a little more than 16 million.


And in the spirit of the games, sync up the steps most people receive gold, silver and bronze medals.


Manager of accounts of Peterborough Arena Hollie Ward is a member of the Commission who came with pleasure the idea of enhancing the profile of staff sports and Social Club on the East of England Showground site.


She said: "2012 is the year of the Olympic Games, I thought it would be fun challenge."


"Pedometers have already been distributed and the challenge is underway."


"" Medals"will be presented on June 15 to our social event of the summer."
